One of my 3 bosses is a Moron

Incompetence is the inability to perform; lack of competence; ineptitude. I believe this is the general definition of this word, thank you Wikipedia.

This word epitomizes one of my 3 bosses. Yes, I have 3 bosses (more on this topic later, I am gathering my thoughts.) Mr. Incompetent doesn't care that none of his employees respect him. "It doesn't matter if they respect me, I'm the manager." So on that note, I've started an informal pool on which employee will snap and pop him one. My money's on "E". Mr. Incompetent is lucky to have some ability to BS, especially in times when it can most benefit him. Such as....in front of upper management, customers, etc. Mr. Incompetent doesn't dress professionally, and resembles an asian, bespectacled version of Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber. I'm assuming he is intelligent, however I sometimes wonder if the common sense train passed him by. I hold the firm belief that Mr. Incompetent doesn't really do much except collect a paycheck. The reports that he is responsible for are done by the employees, mostly by me, and of course he takes credit for all of it. What a guy.

Should I be added to that pool???

Mr. Incompetent, you are the WORST manager I have ever worked for. It alarms me that you hold your position, or for that matter were able to obtain your position based on your incompetence. Worst of all, Mr. Incompetent is RUDE, and as some have said acts like an Ashollio. Mr. Incompetent, thank you for inspiring me to update my resume and look for another position within the company or perhaps outside. Here's to you Mr. Incompetent...eat a dizznick straight up!

Getting back into it Haiku

yes, it's not Friday.
but I've been slacking hardcore.
so here goes, new start.

been neglecting my
blog very badly. could it
be my new work place?

only thirty miles
each way. but sometimes it feels
like driving twice that.

torrance is where I
work now. a change of pace, yes.
all number crunching.

yup, no more finance.
now it's for a logistics
company, not bad.

sometimes you need change.
this one was sorely needed.
too bad traffic sucks!

Wednesday Lyric du Jour

"Oh these ancient skies
I've had these wandering eyes
but you took me by surprise
when you let me inside of you

Inside of you
Inside of you
There's got to be
Some part of me
Inside of you"

- Inside of You, Infant Sorrow

Making up for the last two or three Haiku Fridays

Maui Wowie

in maui wowie,
there's no sense of time.
rush hour? what is that?

less modern trappings
watches? nah, wrists need a tan.
cell phones? sure, I guess.

beauty is meant
to be enjoyed slowly. ahh,
magical maui.

and in a related article...

OTM

i'm off the market,
officially, by title.
weird feeling you say?

you're not used to it!
no, i will beg to differ.
it sure feels like home.

single-hood was cool.
like Lebron, overrated.
yup, I'm extremely lucky =)

Tuesday Movie Review

No Country for Old Men

This is my first review so it will be very brief and summarized by the following points:

1.) Great acting. Especially by Javier Bardem (pictured above.) He personifies
persistence...and perhaps is death incarnate.
2.) Great pacing
3.) "Friendo" is a pretty scary term to hear.
4.) It's one of the best movies I've ever seen.
5.) Go see it, it's earned all those awards...friendo.

Haiku Fridays..well, making up for it.

thought I was living
in OC. this weekend felt
like Hades-lite though.

the beach was hot too.
still ran anyways. lots of
people did the same.

no traffic jams on
the pathways, no road rage yup.
pleasantly surprised.

Wednesday Lyrics du Jour

"Let's go to sleep in Paris
Wake up in Tokyo
Have a dream in New Orleans
Fall in love in Chicago

Then we can land in the motherland
Camel back across the desert sand
Take a train, to Rome, or home
Brazil, for real

Wherever I go she goes"

-Lupe Fiasco, Paris-Tokyo, The Cool
